Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s or higher level degree from an accredited college, or one recognized by the NYSED in one of the physical or natural sciences, environmental sciences, engineering, economics, or planning.
AND
Two years of full-time professional experience in the establishment of environmental policy; preparing or reviewing environmental impact statements; or preparing professional testimony for use in hearings or trials involving environmental matters.
A Master’s degree in one of the required disciplines may be substituted for one year of professional experience.

Duties Description Analyze information, draft reports, identify data sets and tools and prepare recommendations related to development and implementation of climate change mitigation and adaptation programs. Provide content for internal and external communications. Specific areas of focus could include: vulnerability assessments to identify climate risks to state agencies’ assets and services; development of fuels policies to reduce emissions in the transportation sector; economic analyses of climate policies.
