Minimum Qualifications The candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills, including experience using Microsoft office products, and possess good organizational skills for this busy office environment. The candidate should have one to three years’ experience in administrative and/or technical support. Post-secondary education is preferred. Technology or database experience recommended.
Duties Description The NYS Joint Commission on Public Ethics (“JCOPE”) seeks a Filings Examiner to join its Statutory Filings Unit in its Lobbying and Financial Disclosure Compliance Division. The Statutory Filings Unit is responsible for providing assistance to users filing Lobbying Reports and Financial Disclosure Statements (FDS) required by the Public Integrity Reform Act. The Filings Examiner assists with the lobbying filing program by updating the online database, processing hardcopy filings, assisting filers and tracking filings. The position will be responsible for a specific function within the Unit based on the individual’s background and experience. The assigned program area of a Filings Examiner may be changed over time as experience is gained to provide experience in all program areas.
