Promotional Opportunity for current New York State employees only: License and current registration to practice pharmacy in New York State and permanent competitive service or 55-b/55-c service as follows:
Pharmacist - two years of service
Pharmacy Supervisor - one year of service
Open Competitive Opportunity: License and current registration to practice pharmacy in New York State and five (5) years of professional post-licensure experience as a Pharmacist, two years of which must have been in an administrative, managerial and/or supervisory capacity in a hospital or clinical setting.
A Master's degree in Pharmacy may be substituted for one year of the general (non-supervisory) experience.
Duties Description As a Pharmacy Manager, you would be responsible for administering, planning, monitoring and delivering a full range of clinical and administrative or distributive pharmaceutical services in a diverse-complex institutional pharmacy within a psychiatric center. You would be responsible for providing services in compliance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations governing hospital pharmacy operations. In addition, you would supervise the activities of a number of pharmacy personnel.
Additional Comments Salary inclusive of $11,000 geographic differential
Additional downstate differential of $3,026.
Background Investigation/Justice Center Review: Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Each case will be determined on its own merits, consistent with the applicable provisions of State and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
