70.4 Transfer to Senior Accountant:
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title allocated to SG-16 or higher AND have standing on the open competitive Senior Accountant/Senior Auditor eligible list.
70.4 Transfer to Trainee Level 1 NS=SG-14:
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title allocated to SG-12 or higher AND have standing on the open competitive Accounting and Auditing Trainee 1 eligible list.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will be assigned to OGS' Internal Audit Unit, and will be responsible for assisting the auditor-in-charge with planning and performing internal audits of OGS program units. The incumbent will need to understand the Professional Practices Framework and apply the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. The incumbent will need to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles while utilizing cost plus contracts for food. The incumbent will perform ongoing testing to ensure food sales pricing is in conformance with contract terms and assist with recovery of funds when billing errors are detected.
Additional Comments Successful completion of the two year traineeship leads to appointment as a Senior Accountant, SG-18.
