Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or non-competitive 55B/C service as a Senior Administrative Analyst, OR be in a title SG-16 or above eligible for transfer under sections 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law, OR be reachable on the Civil Service Lists (PATT or PCO). Salary range above applies to candidates appointed to Senior Administrative Analyst, G-18. Candidates hired into the traineeship will be advanced to Senior Administrative Analyst title upon the successful completion of a two-year traineeship. Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) provides high-quality, person-centered services, supports and advocacy to approximately 123,000 individuals with developmental disabilities in New York State. We are guided in our interactions with the people we serve and each other by compassion, dignity, diversity, excellence and honesty. The incumbent of this position will work as a member of the Bureau of Fiscal Services helping people with developmental disabilities live richer lives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• State-wide coordination of procurement cards, net cards and travel cards outside the scope of the Business Services Center for over 6,000 OPWDD staff;
• Monitor and report on credit card activity, detect potential fraud, abuse and usage patterns;
• Monitor disbursement and expenditure patterns in the Statewide Financial System (SFS);
• Work in conjunction with Budget Services Bureau to resolve unreconciled credit card transactions to keep funding stream replenished to ensure timely spending according to spending/cash plans;
• Serve as the Agency liaison with OSC and employees to resolve unreconciled charges prior to return by OSC which causes duplicate transactions; and
• Filling this position will ensure that Direct Care staff spend their time in directly assisting individuals with developmental disabilities rather than entering multiple transactions to get approval of spending.
