Minimum Qualifications Appointment to SG-18: Permanent service in the title Criminal Justice Program Representative 1, SG-18 or one year of permanent service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer OR a reachable score on the eligible list for this title.
Appointment to Trainee 1 or 2 : Permanent service in this title OR one year of permanent service in a title SG-11 or higher, a bachelor's degree, and otherwise eligible for transfer OR reachable on the current PATT/PCO eligible list.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Duties Description The Criminal Justice Program Representative 1 (CJPR1) will review grant applications, provide guidance to criminal justice and not-for-profit agencies in program and budget development, prepare written contract work plans, prepare written, statistical and oral reports; and make funding recommendations to supervisory staff. The CJPR1 will also provide technical assistance, on-site monitoring and evaluation of funded and/or proposed programs and applicant agencies. Tasks include assisting in the development and implementation of local assistance procurements and resulting grant contracts; monitoring of grant programs through site visits to review fidelity of implementation and assess the accomplishment of program goals and compliance with state grant requirements; and coordination of inter-agency and intra-agency efforts to enhance cross-systems collaboration and improve statewide efforts to address public safety issues. Computer skills necessary; data base and excel a plus.
