Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
• Four years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in contract administration, contract management, IT project management or a related field
• Experience interpreting legal documents

Duties Description The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking a Project Coordinator, Grade 27, to manage the contract of an Electronic Medical Record System (“EMR”). The OMH EMR solution is ESVistA. ESVistA is a scheduled four year project with expected costs of $60 million and an estimated completion date of August 2017. There is one prime vendor and two subcontractors working on the project. ESVista will be implemented in all 24 OMH hospitals, as well as affiliated clinics.
Key aspects of the OMH’s vision for New York State mental health care include developing and supporting a coordinated, comprehensive, community-based public mental health system. By implementing the OMH EMR, OMH seeks to improve:
1. the tracking of individuals’ mental health care records;
2. the flow of EMR data among OMH Facilities and Outpatient Locations;
3. the efficiency and effectiveness of the OMH mental health services.
The Project Coordinator will help ensure that ESVistA is successfully implemented and meets all contract requirements, at the agreed cost and in an acceptable time frame. Specific duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Monitoring the ESVistA contractor’s progress and performance to ensure deliverables conform to the contract requirements.
• Monitoring payments consistent with the contract terms.
• Recommending and assisting in exercising state remedies, as appropriate, where a contractor’s performance is deficient.
• Resolving disputes in a timely manner.
• Documenting significant events.
• Maintaining appropriate records.
• Monitoring contractor activity on a specified frequency to identify problem areas.
• Meeting with the contractor on a regular basis to review progress, discuss problems and consider necessary changes.
• Identifying potential problems and solutions
• Participating in deliverable review process as it relates to adherence to project schedule and contract compliance
• Monitoring schedule compliance and participating in Schedule Review Process
• Attending meetings as needed, weekly, monthly, management stand up
