Minimum Qualifications Current license and registration to practice medicine in New York State and board
certified in a medical specialty AND either a Master’s Degree in Public Health or two years of experience in a public health program.

Preferred Qualifications:
The board certification requirement listed above does include board certification in primary care.

Preferred candidates will have experience with innovative health care delivery and payment models, specifically integrated care delivery models that are inclusive of population and behavioral health. The selected candidate should also have experience with health policy development, analysis and evaluation; evolving health information technologies to facilitate systematic change; and experience with patient reported measures and the patient experience in health care.

Duties Description The Director of the Innovation Center will be responsible for implementation of the New York State Health Innovation Plan (SHIP) inclusive of development and implementation of an integrated care delivery infrastructure premised on a strong foundation of primary care. The Director will oversee the Innovation Center, responsible for cross agency facilitation of the SHIP, and will coordinate messaging and communications between agencies, private partners, the Executive Chamber, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the public.

Specifically, the incumbant will: oversee the management of state, HRI and contract staff coordinating cross agency program development, operations and performance related to the SHIP; provide strategic and operational support to cross-disciplinary workgroups and teams convened to assure collaboration and communication among state, local and federal agencies and with external stakeholders, to assure achievement of SHIP goals and objectives; act as SHIP liaison to private partners, external stakeholders and CMS; and, manage and oversee the tracking of implementation and/or expansion of regional and state-wide based programs to promote overall health and well-being including transformation of care delivery systems to encourage integration of population and behavioral health and to encourage Advanced Primary Care (APC) model adoption.

Additional Comments Salary commensurate with experience, not to exceed $150,000. Permanent, non-competitive, full-time. This position will require occasional travel to New York City.
