Minimum Qualifications • Five years of experience supervising the operation, maintenance, and minor rehabilitation of an office building, including responsibility for the supervision of at least 15 people. College or technical institute study may be substituted for up to two years’ of the required professional work experience.
• Well-organized, mission-focused leader who exhibits in their body of work a commitment to integrity and results-based performance.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment; leading and proactively managing work streams.
• Demonstrate strong skill sets in the following areas: performance management analytics, leadership, customer/tenant relations, project management, negotiation, critical thinking, and crisp verbal and written communication skills.
Duties Description Facility Operations Managers provide leadership and daily management of New York State Office Buildings operated by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS). The Facility Operations Manager is responsible for performing a variety of assigned tasks including, but not limited to:
• Manage daily building operations including: maintenance, grounds, custodial, preventative maintenance programs, security, heath/fire safety requirements; and supervision of custodial, maintenance, contractors and building support staff.
• Implement facility policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee capital rehabilitation projects in conjunction with OGS and tenant agencies.
• Initiate, schedule, and track daily building initiatives including building maintenance and renovations, and facility use requests.
• Administer building services contracts.
• Coordinate administrative activities which may include monthly reports, internal controls, budget, invoice processing, general financial transactions, fire inspection violation follow ups, and personnel transactions.
• Process and resolve tenant-related issues and concerns.
