Minimum Qualifications OCFS/New York State Experience:
One year of service as a Licensed Psychologist, Grade 25; Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry), Grade 24; or as a Social Work Supervisor 1, Grade 23 currently licensed and registered to practice clinical social work in New York State;
OR two years of service as a Licensed Master Social Worker 2, Grade 20 currently licensed and registered to practice clinical social work in New York State.
Non-State Experience:
Licensed and currently registered to practice clinical social work, or psychology, in New York State, AND two years of qualifying experience such as a Licensed Psychologist, Grade 25; Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry), Grade 24 or Social Work Supervisor 1 AND two years of qualifying experience*;
OR Licensed and currently registered to practice clinical social work, in New York State AND three years of qualifying experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker.*
*Qualifying experience:
Professional clinical experience in a NYS facility or program with overall responsibility for providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities, alcohol and/or substance abuse: or in a residential or community care setting for an adult correctional, juvenile justice or forensic mental health population. At least one year of this experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
Duties Description
Coordinate and provide clinical oversight of all treatment services and mental health related programs including the NY Model, Sanctuary, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Integrative Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Daily Achievement System in a residential facility for adjudicated juvenile delinquents and other court-placed youth.
Coordinate the activities of interdisciplinary treatment teams and continuity of care in relation to case management.
Serve as a member of the facility administrative team.
Train and monitor staff in the implementation of evidence-based modalities that address mental health crises.
Coordinate treatment planning.
Provide leadership, management and direction in conjunction with and in the absence of the Facility Director and share on-site, on-call responsibilities with the Facility Director.
