Minimum Qualifications Reachable for appointment from the appropriate Civil Service list - appointment made at the Human Services Training Specialist Traineeship level. OR

Transfer Opportunity:
One year of permanent competitive service as a Human Services Training Specialist 1;
OR
Eligible for a transfer pursuant to Section 70.1, Section 70.4, or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law;
OR
One year of permanent competitive service as an Assistant Training Technician (YS) eligible for a Human Services Training Specialist Trainee 2 appointment.

Duties Description Develop, manage and implement training contracts that provide training to LDSS, voluntary agencies, day care providers.

Participate with agency and LDSS staff in conducting training needs assessments.

Monitor vendor led training sessions.
Review curriculum and course outlines;
Monitor the performance and progress of learners and trainers through evaluation data review.

Collaborate with agency staff and/or other human services agencies and training vendors to revise existing training programs and monitor effectiveness.

Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Additional Comments Note: For appointments to the Human Services Specialist Trainee level, advancement to the Human Services Training Specialist 1 is automatic upon successful completion of a two-year traineeship.

Travel required: 25%
