Minimum Qualifications Provisional: Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience administering or analyzing disability, aging, health, or social services programs for older adults or in the development, delivery or monitoring of long term services and supports (LTSS). OR Six years of experience administering or analyzing disability, aging, health, or social services programs for older adults, three years of which must have been in the development, delivery, or monitoring of LTSS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidate should have a working knowledge of issues faced by persons of all ages who are in need of long-term care services, particularly with those related to nursing home transition, and a deep commitment to person-centered planning and consumer choice. Candidates should have an understanding of Medicaid eligibility and coverage, as well as 1915(c) Medicaid waivers, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, and strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Experience working with consumers of long term care services and/or their caregivers is preferred.
Duties Description Working in the OHIP Division of Long Term Care’s Community Integration and Alzheimer’s Disease Bureau, the incumbent will provide technical assistance on program requirements and Medicaid; independent and team review of contracts, applications, and relevant studies; review applications, work plans, and budgets; assist with program development; analysis and creation of data, charts, reports; monitor contractor and providers with program standards; conduct surveys of contractors and providers; review supporting information for financial reviews; develop program review reports based on survey/site visit research; and maintain program data systems, utilize Medicaid data sets, construct reports as needed.
