Salary RangeFrom $15.40 to $15.40 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.
Preferred Qualifications (optional): Familiarity with NY hunting & trapping regulations.
Duties Description Provide critical support and assistance to the Regional SpEd Coordinator and the 600+ regional Instructors to provide required classes to Sportsman Education students. Answer correspondence and phone calls relating to Sportsman Education, post course listings, update instructor and applicant databases, distribute program materials and supplies to instructors, maintain inventory of materials, and assist the Regional Coordinator in organizing and scheduling meetings. Assist with general Wildlife Management activities as needed; deer checking, wildlife surveys, etc.
Additional Comments Seasonal, hourly appointment ending no later than 3/31/16. Approval to continue 4/1/16 - 3/31/17 is pending approval. Program needs will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to 3/31/17.
Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at interview. Must have valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation
needs of the position. Travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
