Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled journey-level position which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprentice training in a trade or training gained by the completion of technical courses in a trade at a school or institute may be substituted for the above experience on a year-for-year basis. Able to respond to emergencies, traverse rough terrain, climb ladders, work in remote areas and possibly work in water. Have a working knowledge of computers.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred qualification: Working knowledge of local and national building codes and best practices.
Duties Description Candidate will be responsible for installation, repair and maintenance of large water systems, sewer systems, and electrical systems. Will be required to perform diagnostics using test equipment on a variety of mechanical systems. Maintain all required logs, charts, and records of repair and maintenance. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Will be required to perform electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks. May be required to work alone. Work hours/work days may vary depending on daily duties, must be available to work weekends and Holidays, 40 hours per week/8 hours per day. Required to maintain buildings, grounds and infrastructure at all facilities operated from Warrensburg Sub-Office; to include lawn mowing, lawn care, tree removal/cleanup and maintenance/cleaning of offices and restroom/shower facilities used by public. Will be required to safely operate heavy equipment to include, but not limited to, back-hoe, pay loader, forklift, and sewer jet pump.
