Minimum Qualifications Must possess one year of practical experience in performing general construction or maintenance tasks. Must possess and maintain a valid New York State driver's license. Must be able to read simple blue prints and be able answer question from crew members in the field. Must have a working knowledge of construction equipment's operation and maintenance such as back hoes, bulldozers, farm tractors and attachments. Must have a working knowledge of general safety procedures and personal protective equipment. Must be able to work alone in remote areas without direct supervision. Must be able to traverse rough terrain. Must be able to lift 50 Lbs. Must be willing to work outside during inclement weather conditions. Must be a good communicator, having good people skills, willing and able to deal with difficult individuals without unduly escalating the situation. Must have basic computer skills.

Duties Description Will be responsible to supervise and work along with crews at remote construction projects and during routine maintenance. Will be required to understand construction techniques and be able to read a blue print. In addition will be required to ensure that crews understand their job duties and any issues or concerns are to be addressed daily. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and supervisors. Will be responsible for ensuring that employees have correctly and accurately submitted time cards by the Friday following the end of a pay period. Will be responsible to communicate with supervisors via email, send photos and other attachments. Will be responsible to keep written records and record daily logs. Provide and explain simple written instructions to crew members

Additional Comments This is a temporary position with a duration of 5/19/16 - 11/30/16.

Will be responsible for the safety of all crew members, ensuring that DEC safety procedures are followed and correct personal protective equipment is available and used correctly. Will be responsible to secure equipment if left in remote areas. Must report any major mechanical problems. May be required to work alone. Work hours/work days may vary depending on daily duties, must be available to work weekends and Holidays, 40 hours per week/8 hours per day, work locations will vary and should be available to work anywhere in the Warrensburg working circle.
