Minimum Qualifications Possession of a license to practice medicine in New York State and six years of experience in the practice of medicine, two years of which must be in a clinical management position and certification by the appropriate Medical Specialty Board in pediatrics or family practice or family medicine or internal medicine.
Duties Description Plan, direct and supervise overall health and medical service programs statewide for the Office of Children and Family Services, Division of Juvenile Justice and Opportunities for Youth (DJJOY). Provide policy and program direction to agency medical, dental, nursing and nutrition programs statewide; deploy resources to meet the medical, dental, nursing and nutrition needs of the DJJOY facility population; oversee the operation of agency medical, dental, nursing and nutrition programs; support recruitment of professional staff for DJJOY facilities and their subsequent professional development; establish and maintain productive collaborative relationships with other State agencies in support of OCFS medical, dental, nursing and nutrition services programs; and manage the Bureau of Health Services. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
Additional Comments Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a Medical Director or high-level clinical manager.
