Minimum Qualifications Applicants who are currently 55 b/c eligible AND possess the minimum qualifications listed below are encouraged to apply for this position:
Either 1. three years of business office or human resources office experience in one or more of the following areas:
• accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or bookkeeping;
• processing payroll transactions;
• processing credit card payments, travel reimbursements and/or transactions;
• processing personnel, benefits, and/or time and attendance transactions.
Or 2. 30 semester credit hours AND two years of business office or human resources office experience in one or more of the following areas:
• accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or bookkeeping;
• processing payroll transactions;
• processing credit card payments, travel reimbursements and/or transactions;
• processing personnel, benefits, and/or time and attendance transactions.
Or 3. 60 semester credit hours AND one year of business office or human resources office experience in one or more of the following areas:
• accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or bookkeeping;
• processing payroll transactions;
• processing credit card payments, travel reimbursements and/or transactions;
• processing personnel, benefits, and/or time and attendance transactions.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will work primarily in one of the Business Services Center Finance, Human Resources or Support service lines and will be cross trained to temporarily be reassigned to another service area depending on workload demands. All service lines operate in a customer service oriented environment using lean tools. Duties typical of this position include:
• Have a thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures that relate to the particular service line with the ability to apply them.
• Process service line specific transactions in accordance with standard work and the service line service level agreement.
• Act as a BSC Call Center Representative. Have a working knowledge of the BSC ticketing system.
• Conduct both written and telephone communications and prepare email correspondence to customers, vendors, program administrators,Mar and others regarding requesting information.
• Resolve difficult processing errors, identify processing system user needs and other more complex transactions.
• Analyze data and resolves complex auditing problems related to various NYS business practices, including various audit functions and related processes.
• May lead daily “huddles” assign work to lower level processing staff, as needed.
• Collaborate with supervisors and participate in all LEAN activities.
• Consistently provide quality customer service to all BSC customers.
