Minimum Qualifications We are seeking an attorney with at least five (5) years of criminal prosecution experience, including criminal investigative prosecutorial experience. Applicants must have experience handling long term criminal investigations and will be expected to perform detailed oversight of investigations, meet strict deadlines and work hand-in-hand with our law enforcement partners. Extensive writing experience is required and the ideal candidate will also have experience with electronic surveillance.
Attorneys in the Office must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York State and be admitted to practice law in New York State. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the Office be citizens of the United States.
Duties Description The Office of the New York State Attorney General is seeking an experienced criminal investigative prosecutorial attorney to serve as an Assistant Deputy Attorney General for the Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), located in White Plains, NY. OCTF conducts long term criminal investigations related to drug trafficking, firearm trafficking, traditional Organized Crime, and other organized criminal activity. OCTF is comprised of dedicated attorneys, analysts, and investigators who are responsible for the investigation and prosecution of a myriad of criminal offenses.
Additional Comments Salary to be determined commensurate with experience.
