Minimum Qualifications Candidates must possess a New York State License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse and certification by the New York State Education Department in a specialty area to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. Candidates must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and/or Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment. South Beach ATC is a Tobacco-Free facility.
Duties Description The Nurse Practitioner will perform the following general duties:
Provides medical care for clients beginning at admission with history and physical exam which must be completed in 24 hours.
Responsible for all identified patient medical needs during the client's inpatient stay which includes medical treatment, ordering tests, reviewing lab work and writing discharge orders and clearance. Assist with coverage in other down-state ATCs as-needed.
NOTE: The Addiction Treatment Center uses a computerized patient record system.
