Minimum Qualifications A High School Diploma and either one year of experience in dental assisting or graduation from an accredited program in dental assisting.

Duties Description Performs dental supportive services under a licensed dentists direct supervision.

Prepares work area by laying out materials and required instruments.

Prepares patients for treatment.

Anticipates the dentists needs and hands the dentist the appropriate materials and instruments during procedures.

Carefully observes patients general conditions during all treatments, including surgery.

Takes dental x-rays in accordance with Public Health Law.

Performes office support and clerical work such as scheduling appointments and filing records.

Additional Duties will be discussed during the interview.
