Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The DDRO Region 4 Development Unit has responsibility for the development of all voluntary operated residential and day services in NYC. This unit is responsible for all aspects of the development process for all NYC Voluntary Operated programs including, but not limited to residential and day services. The responsibilities of the Program Operations Specialist 1 include:
• Assist with the Voluntary and DDRO staff on the conversion of Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s) to Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA’s)
• Assist with waiver enrollment for individuals involved with the conversion
• Review budget requests, PPA development, and construction oversight assisting providers in the preparation of certification and opening procedures
• Provide technical assistance to the Voluntary providers on all aspects of development
• Review CON requests and issuance of CON approvals
• Create DARS forms and DARS submissions
• Coordinate conference calls with voluntary providers
• Participate in Central Office conversion phone conferences and planning
• Cooperate with other units under the supervision of the Development Unit Manager
• Review and update the OPWDD Development Plan
