Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. At least 5 years of relevant work experience required.
Knowledge required: Required proficiencies:
o ESRI ArcGIS Software (i.e. ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS server, etc.)
o Ability to analyze technical material and documentation
o Microsoft Excel
o Experience working with large public/commercial data sets
Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Duties Description BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Finance & Structuring, utilize Geographic Information System techniques to extract data from GIS software and use varying analysis methods to arrive at results. Recommend appropriate strategies in response to GIS analysis. Provide maps and data sets to supplement analysis.

WORK PERFORMED:
•Create high quality maps and output tables, using GIS software and related equipment to support the design and implementation of the New NY Broadband Program.
•Analyze and interpret GIS data.
•Integrate spatial data from the Broadband Program Office, and determine how best the information can be displayed using GIS.
•Analyze spatial data for statistics to incorporate into documents and reports and have the ability to present to a non-technical audience.
•Prepare summary analyses related to spatial data, and analyze progress made to-date by the Program.
•Synthesize Program information and propose analytical layouts to make complex information accessible to internal and external audiences,
•Manage and maintain databases as needed.
•Provide additional support to the Broadband Program Office as requested.
