Minimum Qualifications +Provisional Qualifications - There are no minimum educational requirements. You will be required to demonstrate that you meet the minimum proficiency in keyboarding. NOTE: The examination for this title was given on September 24, 2016, September 25, 2016, October 2, 2016 and October 3, 2016. If applying for provisional appointment, in order to be considered for a permanent/contingent permanent appointment, you must have taken the examination for this title on one of the dates above and your score must be high enough to qualify you as one of the top three acceptors on the resulting list. If you are not successful on the examination, or your score is not high enough to be reachable for appointment, your employment in this title will not continue. In addition, prior to being considered for appointment, you will be required to pass a keyboarding test that demonstrates your ability to enter text at a rate of at least 30 words per minute with at least 96% accuracy.
Reassignment - Currently in the title and an employee of DEC
or
Reinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.
or
Transfer Eligible - One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 4 or higher and either:
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.4: Must meet the open competitive minimum qualifications below;
or
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1: Permanent competitive service as a Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), Office Assistant 1, Office Assistant 1 (Stores/Mail), Office Machine Operator. If you have not already demonstrated proficiency in keyboarding you will have to demonstrate that you meet the minimum proficiency in keyboarding. Also any language parenthetic for the above titles will qualify. Additional titles which qualify can be found on the Department of Civil Service website, http://www.cs.ny.gov/, search "GOT-IT".
55-b/55-c Candidates must meet the open competitive minimum qualifications below and include with their resume or application, a copy of the letter from Civil Service which indicates approval for the 55-b/55-c program.
Open competitive minimum qualifications (provided for 55b/c candidates and 70.4 transfer eligibles): There are no minimum educational requirements. You will be required to demonstrate that you meet the minimum proficiency in keyboarding.

Duties Description Candidate will provide support to Natural Resources program, this will include but is not limited to typing, filing, copying, scanning, mailings, license sales, bank deposits, answering phones, helping visitors with their questions/concerns, verification of
Ranger tickets.
