Minimum Qualifications 1 year of satisfactory hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of boilers and/or auxiliary equipment of heating, ventilation, and A/C equipment in commercial, industrial or institutional facilities or a high school diploma or GED and successful completion of 4 trades courses or any combination of the following trades may be substituted for the 1 year of satisfactory hands-on experience. Each trades course must include a minimum of 30-45 classroom/lab hours in order to be considered qualifying: electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation A/C equipment, refrigeration, boiler operation and maintenance. Successful completion of 12 college semester credit hours in any combination of the following course areas may be substituted for the 1 year of satisfactory hands-on experience: heating, A/C, ventilation, electrical circuits, fluid mechanics, tec. commun., thermal dynamics, industrial instrumentation control, environmental air quality, physics, utility refrig., mechanics, blueprint reading, sketching, boiler steam systems, industrial electricity, electric utility systems plant operation and maintenance industrial safety.
Duties Description Maintain, observe temperature and pressure of boiler and all related pump equipment. Assigned a clean-up area. All above duties will be under the supervision of the Plant Utilities Engineer 1.
