Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law or be appointed in accordance with provisions provided by Civil Service Law, Section 55 b/c.
Duties Description Provide essential clerical support duties for the Office of Human Resources including, but not limited to the following:
• Main Receptionist/Greeter in a fast paced office,
• Answer telephones and provide information to and answer questions from department employees, other agencies or to the general public; referring inquires as necessary to appropriate OHR staff,
• Log, sort and distribute mail,
• Employment verifications,
• Other office support activities.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
