Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Under the supervision of an Associate Auditor (SG-23), duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Performing pre-award evaluations of engineering firms’ indirect cost rates;
• Conducting contract compliance closeout audits of engineering consultant firms, railroads, and utility companies;
• Preparing working papers to document audit procedures and conclusions;
• Preparing narrative reports of audit findings and recommendations;
• Discussing audit findings with representatives of the audited entity and participating in exit conferences;
• Ensuring NYSDOT sub-recipients of Federal funds have filed their Federal and/or State Single Audits and taken appropriate corrective action on any reported audit findings;
• Reviewing Personal Net Worth statements for business owners who have applied for certification as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise, and;
• As Auditor-in-Charge, leads other Senior Auditors and Auditor Trainees as applicable.
Occasional travel will be required.
