Minimum Qualifications Four years of experience in the review, investigation, and/or evaluation of compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity Laws, rules, and regulations; in the planning, development, implementation, and review of programs dealing with Equal Employment Opportunity, human rights, affirmative action, minority business program coordination, OR labor relations directly relating to affirmative action; OR in the development and administration of programs designed to facilitate minority community access to employment or business opportunities in the public or private sector. Graduate and undergraduate credits may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 credits for each six months of experience, not to exceed two year of experience.

One year as an Assistant Minority Business Specialist 1, SG-14.
Duties Description Under the direction of the Regional Compliance Specialist II and with guidance from the Regional Construction Engineer, and the Office of Civil Rights, the incumbents responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following activities: assisting with the monitoring the employment policies and practices of prime contractors and subcontractors for construction projects; communicating with public and private agencies involved in EEO programs such as labor unions, contractors associations, minority group organizations, etc.; meeting with contractors and their representatives about their obligations under the EEO, training and D/M/WBE provisions of their contracts; and conducting visits to construction sites during the day and/or night to review contractor compliance. The incumbent will also provide assistance to Engineers-in-Charge and Project Managers to identify and correct contractor non-compliance with contractual obligations; and preparing and submitting reports.
Responsibilities also may include participating within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
