Minimum Qualifications Must possess a current certification as a School Administrator, School Building Leader, School District Administrator, or School District Leader issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

Duties Description Supervise and evaluate education staff of either a major part of an extensive education program or an entire smaller education program; plan curricula; approve instructional materials, and supervise preparation and use of daily lesson plans; make classroom supervisory visits, integrate the education program with other activities, and maintain records of student progress; be responsible for the administration of standardized educational assessments; participate in staff meetings, interview new inmates in order to secure information relative to educational backgrounds and aptitudes, schedule classes, supervise teacher training, and participate on committees. You may also perform other administrative duties as appropriate.
