• Strong organizational and communication (written and oral) skills;
• Ability to balance multiple priorities;
• Aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment;
• High standards of confidentiality and professionalism
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including experience coordinating Outlook calendars and Excel;
• Strong research skills; and
• Experience with project coordination.
Overtime will be needed, potentially including weekends during times of peak workload, generally associated with the development and negotiation of the Budget and the closedown of the Legislative session. Salary will be determined based on prior work experience and education.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will work as part of a team within the Executive Office of the Division of the Budget to support the Budget Director and Deputy Directors and all functions of the Executive Office. The incumbent is privy to highly confidential information, necessitating high standards of professionalism and confidentiality. The incumbent is responsible for having working knowledge of the Division’s organization, operations and procedures.
Specific Duties Include:
• Managing the reception and phone contacts from high-level government officials, including the Governor’s office and Executive Chamber, legislative officials, and all levels of staff within the Division of the Budget;
• Assisting in managing workflow, project coordination as providing general office support; and
• Performing other related tasks as assigned by the Executive Office Manager, the Director of the Budget and Deputy Directors.
