Minimum Qualifications Permanent status as Research Scientist 1, G-18 and interested in reassignment; OR possess a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional research experience in the appropriate field, OR a Master’s degree in the appropriate field and one year of professional research experience in that field.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of one year of experience using SAS or SPSS required, and minimum of one year experience with ArcGIS preferred.

Duties Description The primary function of this position is to provide data analysis and reporting support to OASAS staff and other State and Local government agencies. Duties include conducting analyses of the OASAS Client Data System and Provider Directory System; using SAS and/or SPSS in the analysis and management of large datasets; conducting geographical information systems (GIS) analyses and data management using ArcGIS, and providing analytical support to projects such as Opioid Quarterly Reports, Open NY, and state and local planning.
