Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree and three years of professional research experience in the area(s) of child welfare, criminal justice, psychology, social work, sociology, program evaluation or other related field, OR

Master’s Degree in Social Welfare, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology other related field, and two years of professional research experience in the area(s) of child welfare, criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, program evaluation or other related field; OR

A Doctorate Degree in Social Welfare, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology or other related field.

Duties Description Under supervision of senior research staff, engage in research pertaining to child welfare and juvenile justice programs and initiatives. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing testable research hypotheses to evaluate and inform child welfare and juvenile justice programming; development and implementation of evaluation and research designs, creation of data collection tools and survey instruments; extracting, preparing, and analyzing data from administrative databases; database management; multivariate data analysis, and dissemination of findings through the authorship of technical reports and presentations. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview. Preferred experience includes familiarity with statistical analysis software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS).
