Duties Description SUNY Cobleskill is seeking qualified Adjunct Instructors to teach sections of freshman-level English in ENGL 099 (Fundamentals of College Writing) and ENGL 101 (Composition I).
ENGL 099 - This course is a review and practice in the fundamentals of written communication. Students will learn to effectively use the techniques and skills of correct punctuation, thesis development, sentence structure, organizational patterns, transitions, paragraphing, and essay construction.
ENGL 101 - In this composition course, students will write personal essays developing a point or an idea with evidence drawn from their own lives and academic essays organized around an intellectual task, such as arguing in favor of an idea, comparing, defining or analyzing.
Additional Comments The schedule for the course offerings are TBD. Courses could be offered at 11 a.m. Tu/Th, 1 p.m. MWF, 2 p.m. Tu/Th, or 12N MWF. The anticipated start date for this position is August 2018.
This is a part-time, temporary position.
The salary for this position is $2295 per 3 credit class.
