Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications for taking the open-competitive examination: Must meet ALL THREE of the following minimu qualifications:

1. Have had at least five years of experience in a manufacturing process of trade of which at least one year must have been directly related to the specialty for which you are applying.
2. Three years of supervisory experience.
3. Be a high school graduate or have a high school equivalency diploma issued by a recognized state educational authority of a USAFI GED high school certificate.

Duties Description Train inmates to work within the sign manufacturing operation, including supervising the process of producing manufacturing goods, scheduling production and inmate assignments, and supervising inmates in performing their work activities and in assuring acceptable behavior. The incumbent will determine inventory, tracking movement of product from start to finish, following prescribed rules for handling of tools and materials and maintaining and repairing of all equipment used in the sign manufacturing area. The incumbent is also responsible for preparing a variety of reports and keeping records such as performance and behavior reports, production records, injury reports, attendance reports, tool and material inventory, and purchase orders.

Additional Comments A provisional appointment will require the incumbent to take the NYS Civil Service test and be reachable in order to retain employment.
