Salary RangeFrom $45455 to $58028 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Must have a current certification as a New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC); OR a current certification as a New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor Trainee (CASAC-T) and one year post certification qualifying experience; OR three years of qualifying experience. An Associate's Degree (or higher) in an **approved area may be substituted for two years experience. Contact the Hale Creek Human Resources staff for definitions of qualifying experience and the approved areas for study concerning a degree.
Duties Description Provide ongoing treatment services to inmates with substance use disorders. Develop treatment findings and conclusions based on an admission and comprehensive evaluation; establish a substance use disorder diagnostic impression; develop and implement a person-centered treatment plan for each assigned inmate; continually evaluate and document the level and quality of participation and progression towards reasonably applied goals for each inmate; and provide such services to ensure successful treatment. Work with other facility staff and provide such services in a variety of treatment modalities in order to assist the inmate in addiction rehabilitation. These services include: recruiting, screening, orientation, assessment, treatment planning and reviewing, coordinating educational and treatment services using various media, continuing recovery planning, and individual and group counseling. Responsible for all mandatory treatment recording.
