Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in environmental education programs; or one year of college study with specialization in natural sciences, natural resources, or environmental education.

Duties Description This position will aid in the administration of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). Incumbent will work closely with the NASP New York state coordinator. Duties include: promoting the program among school officials, teachers, and community support organizations; planning and coordination of training sessions for basic archery instructors; and providing administrative and logistical support for the program. Incumbent will also coordinate supplies and equipment for participating schools and assist with other NASP-related duties as needed.

Overnight travel within New York State will be necessary. Proficiency with public speaking, and excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills a plus. Archery experience is preferred, but not required.

Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be able to lift and move object up to 40 pounds.

This is a seasonal, hourly appointment ending no later than 3/31/19. Program needs will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to 3/31/19. Actual work schedule, duties, and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
