Minimum Qualifications You must have a certificate and current registration to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.

Transfer Opportunity: Currently permanent as a Nurse Practitioner and eligible for transfer; or in a comparable title and eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law.

You must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs. If you receive an appointment, your continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility. Failure to do so may result in the termination of your appointment.
Duties Description As a Nurse Practitioner, you would provide primary health care working in collaboration with a licensed physician or physicians. Duties would include, but not be limited to:
assessing the physical and psychosocial status of clients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests;
diagnosing illnesses and physical conditions and performing therapeutic and corrective measures.
The above duties are performed in accordance with a written practice agreement and written practice protocols for the psychiatry specialty and agreed upon in advance by you and the physician of record.
Additional Comments The salary includes full-time annual salary, Geographic Differential, and increased hiring salary.
