Minimum Qualifications YOU MUST BE A CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR APPOINTMENT TO THIS POSITION.

Senior Auditor Grade 18: Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title. Appropriate titles include but are not limited to:
Senior Accountant SG-18, Senior Internal Auditor SG -18, Management Specialist 1, SG-18, Tax Auditor 1 SG-18, State Program Examiner 1 SG-18...

Duties Description Pre-audit a sample of indemnity payments generated by the Claims department in accordance withh NYS WC law, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Act, NYS VF/VAW law, WCB rules and regulations and internal NYSIF policies.

Pre-audit a sample fo medical and claims adjustment payments generated by by the Claims department in accordance withh NYS WC law, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Act, NYS VF/VAW law, WCB rules and regulations and internal NYSIF policies.

Pre-audit a sample of disability payments generated by by the Disability Claims department in accordance withh NYS WC law.

Review general claims handling practices and make suggestions and recommendations to the Claims department.
