Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERMANENT APPOINTMENT:
Permanent service in NYS Civil Service title.

OR

One year of permanent competitive service 55b/c service in a title SG-12 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law.

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of Human Resources Specialist 1, the incumbent will independently perform the following duties and not limited to:
• The Office Assistant 3 will administrate employee sick leave program, workers’ compensation and employee Health Benefits program.
• Incumbent will also supervise Human Resources office support staff duties including but not limited to processing personnel transactions, maintenance of several data bases, personal history and other files.
• The incumbent will prepare and issue status change communication in reference to leaves. A working knowledge of NYSTEP, NYBEAS and PAYSR is preferred.
• Other duties as assigned.
