Job Specifics
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a Natural Science and five years of professional post-degree research experience in the appropriate field; or a Master's Degree and four years of such experience; or a doctorate in the appropriate field and two years of such experience.
Preferred Qualifications: A doctorate in metabolomics, organic analytical chemistry/mass spectrometry, biomolecular/biomedical sciences, or any related disciplines, hands-on experience in high resolution mass spec analysis of human specimens, and three years of postdoctoral research experience in metabolomics.
Duties Description The Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, is seeking an outstanding research scientist at the Assistant Professor level to establish a competitive, extramurally funded, research program in metabolomics. The successful candidate will develop a research program focused on using metabolomic methods to understand the role of environmental factors on metabolism and human health. The successful applicant will join an interactive group of research scientists, which will expand the Center’s existing world-class program in exposome
