Minimum Qualifications The DOL Communications team is looking for a highly creative Video & Graphics Manager to oversee our video and graphic design teams. We are seeking someone with great organizational skills, who thrives in a collaborative team environment and who loves the challenge of producing impactful visual campaigns. Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must submit links to your video and/or graphic work.
Nine years of experience producing video content in one or more of the following areas: national broadcast network, local network television affiliate, cable news, commercial media production facility, marketing communications agency or nine years of experience as a graphic designer in a marketing communications agency, a commercial media production house, national broadcast and cable network, local network affiliate tv, or related operation. College study in a related field may be substituted for up to four years of experience with 30 credit hours equaling one year of experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Nine years of progressive experience producing, shooting, and editing exceptional commercial or social media videos that incorporate highly visual graphics or nine years of progressive graphic design including a strong portfolio in motion graphics, animation, and graphic design, with a sharp eye for detail and aesthetics. To be considered for this position, you must submit links to your video and/or graphic work.
• Five years’ experience leading a creative team of videographers and/or graphic designers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once using exceptional organizational skills that include maintaining attention to details.
• Experience in project management, with a focus on creative direction while prioritizing assignments, deliverable schedules and resources.
Duties Description Standard Duties:
• As the Video & Graphics Manager, you will oversee the video and graphic design teams, assuring their work meets communications creative standards.
• Under the guidance of directors and executive staff, help develop a broad range of digital communication projects intended to support the agency's programs and initiatives, and coordinate and oversee development of various multimedia assignments.
• Assign and track the implementation and progress of video and graphic design projects, and report to communication’s executives.
• Schedule staff according to organizational needs and deadlines
• Ensure on-time execution and delivery of high-quality video and graphic materials.
• Develop, pitch and produce visual story ideas.
• Perform the full range of supervisory responsibilities including staff development, training on best practices for video and graphic techniques and design, and employee performance reviews.
Additional Comments Candidates with no previous state service will begin at the starting rate of the salary range listed above.
