Job Specifics

Duties Description • Preparing requests for funding and monitoring expenditures of assigned programs, including preparation of fiscal analyses and utilization of the Statewide Financial System;

• Reviewing and analyzing Executive and legislative budget bills, other related legislation, and preparation of related fiscal analyses;

• Working collaboratively with the Bureau of Data Management and the Bureau of Financial Services, as well as other Agency divisions and external partners;

• Researching, preparing, and implementing recommendations on requests for proposals, program plans, and contract review;

• Perform unit management activities including the identification and administration of resources, tracking of tasks, time, and appropriate communication. Ensure written procedures are developed for critical functions;

• Provide supervision and direction to subordinate staff, including completing employee evaluations and attendance documents. Ensure employees have access to training opportunities and are afforded time to maintain and/or advance skill sets;

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.
