Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive Provisional Pending Exam:
Either 1: an associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, architectural technology, or construction technology AND three years of qualifying experience as described below;*

Or 2: five years of qualifying experience as described below.*

* Experience assisting in the management of construction projects from inception to completion to include cost estimating, construction planning and scheduling, contract document reading and interpretation, and construction inspection to ensure compliance with building codes for construction projects with a construction cost of at least $300,000.

Duties Description The incumbent will inspect and supervise building projects to insure contractor’s adherence to plans, specifications and generally accepted construction standards. May also supervise the work of other inspectors and consultants.
