Senior Auditory Grade 18: Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title. Appropriate titles include but are not limited to:

Duties Description Under the supervision of an Insurance Premium Auditor 2, the incumbent of this position is responsible for auditing of NYSIF policyholders in order to establish the earned premium for the period of coverage afforded by the policy. This is primarily a field position, with one day per week required in the district office to discuss audits, organize and retrieve information for upcoming audits, meetings with district office staff to evaluate policyholder activities and presentation of recommendations based on completed audits. Incumbent is assigned a geographic territory to audit and, as a result, has a variety of corporations or industries to cover. This is an extremely critical function to NYSIF’s “bottom line”, as premium rates must accurately reflect present and past activities related to the policyholder’s business.
