Job Specifics

Duties Description Pilgrim Psychiatric Center is currently recruiting a Physical Therapist Supervisor 2 to oversee their physical therapy program.

As a Physical Therapist Supervisor 2, you are responsible for providing oversight of [Facility Name] physical therapy programming and staff including;

• Supervising and training subordinate physical therapy staff
• Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating physical therapy treatment programs and services
• Independently administering physical therapy treatment programs and services
• Observing and recording individuals’ progress and response to treatment and modifying treatment plans as needed

Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Physical Therapist Supervisor 2 if they have:

• License and current registration as a Physical Therapist in New York State; and
• 4 years of post-licensure physical therapy experience, one of which must have been at a supervisory level

OR

Candidate from within State Service can be considered for hire under the NY HELPS program if they have either:

• 1 year as a Physical Therapist Supervisor 1 (previous title Head Physical Therapist);

OR

•2 years as a Physical Therapist (previous title Senior Physical Therapist.

OR

Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
