Job Specifics
Duties Description • Overall duties connected to the effective functioning of multiple community residences located in BDDSOO serving service recipients in Brooklyn DDSOO.
• Supervision of dev Asst 1 & Dev Asst 2 assigned to the residential program sites
• Enter and or oversee daily billing into TABS.
• Participate in individuals ‘Life Plan meetings and Ad-Hoc meetings
• Manage individual’s financial accounts in house; ensure all internal controls are maintained.
• Review staff training needs and schedule in-person- trainings to maintain compliance. Track on-line trainings.
• Incident Tracking- ensure compliance with 624 regulations including reporting, documentation, investigation and immediate protection/recommendation follow through
• Ensure all staff are accessing and maintaining access to the electronic record system. Maintain and track work requests if and when problems with access are experienced.
• Conduct consistent residential observations in regards to service delivery, safety and the upkeep of the physical plant.
• Supervise core staff and shift supervisors, conduct team meetings, provide guidance to shift supervisors.
• Ensure optimal engagement and recreational opportunities are provided. Compliance with requisite documentation illustrating inclusion.
• Overtime Monitoring and work collaboratively with the staffing office for resource management and adherence to the OPWDD Overtime Policy and staffing protocols.
• Providing guidance and direction to subordinate staff to maintain internal systems for incident management, fire safety, upkeep of physical plant, time and attendance, staff training compliance, financial management
• Aid in supporting agency mission, strategic initiatives and internal controls toward those goals.
• Assist higher-level supervisory and/or administrative staff to coordinate matters related to employee corrective and/or disciplinary actions.
• Meet regularly with shift supervisors to discuss daily operations and plans to make changes to those operations.
• Monitor work schedule and assignments to subordinate staff by shift supervisors.
• Communicate with all members of the IDT and other personnel as needed to carry out the core mission.
• Adherence to 483 regulations, DOH guidance and all ICF mandates (ICF only).

Minimum Qualifications Promotion: one year of service as a Developmental Assistant 1, Developmental Assistant 1 (In Residence Model), Developmental Assistant 2, Senior Licensed Practical Nurse 2, or Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 2 and reachable on the Civil Service eligible list.
Additional Comments • Please note that starting salary for this title reflects the increased hiring salary, Downstate adjustment and geographic pay differential. Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for CSEA Grade 17 ($66,690), Increased Hiring Salary ($7,980), Downstate Adjustment ($4,000) and Geographic Pay Differential ($6,000). Downstate Adjustment and Geographic Pay Differential are added to the job rate ($80,655).
• Currently a New York State employee serving in a permanent competitive qualifying title and eligible for a transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, you may be appointed to this title as a permanent competitive employee.
• The assignment of PS&T employees will be made in accordance with any agreed upon Memorandum of Understanding between PEF and the local DDSO regarding the posting of job vacancies.

• All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
