Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Please Note: Canvass letters will be mailed to candidates who are reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list for the Clerk 1 title.

Candidate must have one year of permanent or contingent permanent service as a Clerk 1, OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list for Clerk 1; OR be an eligible 55-b or 55-c candidate.

Duties Description Duties in the Subscriptions Unit will include, but are not limited to:

• Open and prepare mail for keypunching according to Lottery Division policies and procedures.
• Enter subscription data into the subscription system Graphical User Interface.
• Review any correspondence that may accompany subscription forms and forward to appropriate individual for resolution.
• Interact with customers via phone or email to address difficulties purchasing subscription or questions about prizes.
• Answer questions from the general public and other units.
• General office tasks as needed.

Successful candidates should have good data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. Additionally, they should possess good telephone skills in order to provide high quality customer service.

Additional Comments Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a fingerprint background check before an official appointment offer can be made.
