Job Specifics
Duties Description The New York State Senate is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join their team in the Personnel office as the Director of First Impressions.
In addition to providing administrative support, the professional in this position will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for all visitors and employees alike, both in person and over the phone.
In this vital role, you will:
•Answer, screen and direct all incoming phone calls
•Interact with visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them accordingly
•Receive, sort and distribute daily mail
•Provide administrative support to office staff and management as needed
Minimum Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and competencies:
•Highly skilled in greeting visitors courteously and professionally
•Comfortable handling numerous incoming calls simultaneously
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work with a variety of people and situations
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
To move forward, you must have:
•Two years of scheduling experience
•Two years of administrative support experience
•Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
•A high school degree or equivalent
Additional Comments The salary range is $35,000 to $40,000 commensurate with experience.
