Job Specifics

Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to, the oversight of the daily operation and administration of the Office of Driver Safety Programs, as well as tactical planning for the future direction of the program. In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing:

• The delivery of essential driver-related services and administering motor vehicle laws enacted to promote safety and protect consumers.

• Routine evaluation and analysis of program processes to ensure operational requirements and milestones are met.

• Development and/or analysis of legislative and regulatory proposals and their implementation.

• Compliance with state and federal programs governing license issuance, commercial drivers, and driver records.

• Outreach to external stakeholders and the public to ensure information about program requirements and changes are understood and to obtain any feedback about our programs.

• Work closely with enforcement personnel and investigators on matters of enforcement and fraud, including leading the most recent initiatives in targeted oversight of stretch limousines and the passenger carrier industry.

Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for this position, you must meet one of the following conditions:

1. Eligible for appointment from the Motor Vehicle Program Manager 4, M-4 eligible list.

2. In a G-29/M-3 or higher title that meets criteria for reassignment or a 52.6 transfer.

Additional Comments Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed work week and Telecommuting.
