Job Specifics
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will provide QM oversight for the Sunmount Community locations.
• Oversee Sunmount DDSO Medicaid Compliance liaison and DDPS1.
• Work closely with DDPS II, EHR Administrator, and HIM Department as related to Community Needs and oversight.
• Complete training to be a back up for the Medicaid Compliance Liaison.
• Ensures that QM meets obligations for New Employee Orientation, Curriculum Development and/or Support New Supervisor Training in the community IRAs.
• Responsible to oversee and assist if needed in writing Plan of Corrective actions for Statements of Deficiencies from the Division of Quality Improvement (DQI).
• Responsible for implementing the Plan of Corrective actions once accepted by DQI.
• Sit in on Team meetings as “technical assistance” to assist team in review of high-profile individuals. (Community TTL, Community Habilitation Meetings, SPH meeting, etc.)
• Assistance to the Director/Deputy Director as an on sight “Technical Assistance”.
• Provide Pre-survey reviews to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Update and monitor Sunmount forms for community.
• Oversee and assist with all community IRAs to ensure Policy and Procedures are being implemented.
• Participates in Statewide Policy review committee and maintains contact with State Operations Planning and Quality Assurance office.
• Responsible for all community policy updates or development of new policies. Includes researching regulations/guidance, creating the policy committee workgroup with administrative staff/designees identified as a subject matter expert (SME) to participate in the process.
• Assigned to draft the policy in the approved OPWDD format and ensure they are vetted for review/ input prior to final review by Deputy Director and director.
• Creates and delivers trainings as needed and directed by DDPIV/Deputy Director/ Director
• Serve as a back up to the DDPS2 for QM/Campus as needed.
• Serves as Administrator on Call
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Additional Comments • If you are currently a New York State employee serving in a permanent competitive qualifying title and eligible for a transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, you may be appointed to this title as a permanent competitive employee.

• All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
