Job Specifics

Duties Description To be discussed at time of interview.

Minimum Qualifications Must be an employee of, or on leave from, the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision with one year of permanent competitive service as an Incarcerated Records Coordinator 2; or two years of permanent competitive service as an
Incarcerated Records Coordinator 1; Or B. one year of permanent competitive service in a position allocated to Grade 18 or higher at the DOCCS.

Employees appointed via the NY HELPS program are restricted for promotional appointment until their position is covered-in to the competitive class by the New York State Civil Service Commission, or they otherwise obtain permanent competitive status. Your eligibility for promotion will be reviewed by Human Resources. Employees with a permanent NY HELPS appointment occurring effective 6/12/25 or later will be addressed with a subsequent cover-in.

***A contingent permanent or permanent appointment may be possible, pursuant to Section 52.7 of Civil Service Law, for a qualified DOCCS employee who meets the minimum qualifications, if eight or fewer qualified candidates are interested in this position.
